I am a school teacher and wanted something different to do for my summer vacation this year. I heard through a friend about a possibility of house sitting for a gentleman with a quaint cottage on a remote beach while he visited Europe for the summer. It sounded right up my alley! I have been here 3 weeks and so far it has been great—sleep late, breakfast on my porch overlooking the beach, lazy walks on the beach with my dog, etc. I have enjoyed the stress free solitude but I must admit I was beginning to feel a little isolated.
